Fusion

The Honeywell Fusion (MS3780) is a hybrid barcode scanner that combines the convenience of hands-free presentation scanning with the option to use it as a handheld scanner when needed. In its stand, the Fusion projects a 20-line omnidirectional laser pattern for aggressive scanning of barcodes in any orientation, greatly speeding up retail checkout. When lifted off the stand, it automatically switches to a single-line laser mode (using CodeGate technology) for precise targeting of specific barcodes on a menu or pick list. This dual functionality eliminates the need for separate scanners at the register, and with its adjustable stand and automatic detection, the Fusion offers a convenient, all-in-one solution for medium-volume retail or pharmacy environments. The Tulip team did not test the integration with this specific model, although the Tulip team has high confidence that the integration works following instructions of the KB article as the protocol used by this device to communicate is supported by Tulip.
