DS8100 Series

The Zebra DS8100 Series is Zebra’s flagship line of handheld imagers, delivering top-of-the-line scanning performance to keep checkout lanes and workflows fast and efficient. Powered by an 800 MHz processor, a megapixel sensor and PRZM algorithms, the DS8100 can instantly capture even the most challenging barcodes, and it adds support for innovations like Digimarc digital watermarks and multi-code capture (scanning multiple barcodes in one trigger pull). Unique to this series, the cordless DS8178 model includes Honeywell’s PowerPrecision+ smart battery which can last over three days on a charge and provides analytics on battery health, along with an on-scanner LED gauge to check battery status at a glance. The DS8100 series also features a Wi-Fi Friendly Mode to eliminate Bluetooth interference with wireless networks and convenient enhancements like a cradle paging button to locate misplaced scanners, making it ideal for high-volume retail, healthcare, and service environments. The Tulip team did not test the integration with this specific model, although the Tulip team has high confidence that the integration works following instructions of the KB article as the protocol used by this device to communicate is supported by Tulip.
